Oxynade has developed a rocket science content aggregation platform for hyper-local content. The integrated technology stack provides all the layers required to aggregate, curate, publish, syndicate and monetize hyper-local content. Oxynade operates its platform as an all-included hosted service to its media partners.
Content aggregation source selection

Based on specific customer needs, Oxynade can define custom selections of web sources (websites, RSS feeds, online databases...) that will be used to harvest targeted hyper-local content using a combination of crawling, imports of third party data feeds and integration of existing content sources.
Crawling & parsing engine

Thousands of web pages will be processed to retrieve up-to-date information. Each webpage is automatically parsed into individual pieces of information.
Extraction engine

The individual pieces of information are interpreted and transformed into structured data. The multi-lingual extraction engine recognizes a wide selection of fields such as for example dates, prices and locations. An advanced scoring algorithm is used for optimal results and to provide instant feedback on data quality. Finally automated categorization is performed.
De-duplication

Using advanced heuristics the data is de-duplicated. Even data which is similar but not identical can be correlated in order to identify double data entries. This is performed among other techniques by calculating the difference percentage between data records.
Data store

The normalized data is stored in a relational database and in a full text-search optimized data repository, which allows Oxynade to store and search millions of records.
Web backoffice (CMS)

The Oxynade partner backoffice is a comprehensive online interface for manual data sanity checks. The backoffice can be used to handle thousands of daily new records in an efficient manner.
Publishing & syndication tools

Oxynade provides various tools to publish and unleash the collected data using ready to use media frames and widgets, file exchange and an XML REST API.
Mobile applications

Oxynade's hyper-local content is perfectly suited for mobile location based services (LBS). The mobile Happenr application for iPhone and Android is a mobile showcase application that provides "what's going on here and now" information across Europe.
User generated content

The aggregated content can be further enriched with user generated content (UGC). The UGC screens can be tailored and integrated to collect and manage information entered by the community.
